The ‘Binneas’ Daniel O’Connell Heritage Trail at Derrynane House will be launched on Saturday 7th June, as part of the ‘Discover Derrynane’ weekend 6th -8th June 2025. The trail is also available virtually on the Binneas Website.

‘Great News!’ The Binneas Collection have secured funding from The Heritage Council to digitise and upload to the website a large part of the collection.

The digitisation will include sound recordings and scanned material of the music, song, story, and folklore of South Kerry.

These four recordings are of a house dances in Reacaslagh circa 1970’s. They were digitised by Binneas from reel to reel tapes with the kind permission of Bridie Wells. All help in identifying the singers and musicians will be greatly appreciated.
