The Catherine O’Connell Interviews

(nee Cahalane)

These recordings were given to the Binneas Collection by Máire bean Uí Shé. They were on cassette tape and were a copy of interviews with Catherine O’Connell (nee Cahalane) and were conducted by a family member Kate Cahalane. There was a lot of ambient noise on the copied cassette recordings which has been removed in the recording studio and the sound as been enhanced. Interviews 6 and 7 could not be enhanced to a standard to upload to the website, they have been archived and are available in the Binneas Collection. The interviews are an invaluable store of local history and lore.
