John Grady

John Grady was a nineteenth century piper who played at the Fairgreen, Cahersiveen. He had a daughter, Johanna, and he'd call out Boys, keep from her, open the crowd for her, open the crowd for her'. He used to sound "Good girl, Mary' on the chanter. So many asking for her, nobody getting her, Johanna Grady' 'Grady had a son, almost blind, who played the fiddle.
